Founded in 1923, Sacred Heart High School is proudly beginning it’s 98th year as a provider of excellent secondary education for young men and women in the Yonkers area! The “$98 for 98 Years” campaign will support the creation of the SHHS Innovation Center - a fresh, modern, and multifunctional learning space outfitted with the latest technology: desktop/PCs, a CAD corner, a Promethean Panel, and 3D printers. This space is designed for active instruction, and will encourage creativity, communication and collaboration. The Covid-19 pandemic, which has caused disruption across many aspects of our daily lives, is having an especially profound impact on young people, including those in our Catholic schools, whose education is being altered or interrupted. Congress is working on another bill to provide relief from the Covid crisis for critical parts of our economy and society, such as our schools. Catholic and other non-government schools must be included in that relief. The time to make your voices heard is now. Please contact your elected officials: Senator Chuck Schumer at (202) 224-6542 or (212) 486-4430 and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand at (202) 224-4451 or (212) 688-6262 and implore them to provide assistance to prevent our Catholic schools from closing permanently.
Distance Learning at Sacred Heart High School will continue through the summer school session. The program offers an opportunity for students to recover credits and/or receive academic reinforcement, and is open to students from outside schools. Please email Ms. Nieves at gnieves@sacredhearths.org with any questions.
Sacred Heart High School promotes the highest academic achievement among its students and believes that an excellent Catholic Education should be affordable to any student willing to work to his or her potential. If you would like to contribute to a specific scholarship or learn more about creating a scholarship in memory of an alumni or loved one, contact Claire Sullivan at csullivan@sacredhearths.org or Maura Friend at mfriend@sacredhearths.org.
